Biography

Frank Nairn was born in the Colony of Western Australia (1832-1900)

Frank was born in 1845 in Perth, Western Australia.[1] He is the son of James Nairn and Sarah Pettit.

He married Harriet Emma Long on 18 December 1877 at Greenough.[2][3]

Frank was a farmer and grazier at Dongara (1884-5 Almanac).[3]

Death
I regret to record the death of another very old and respected resident of the Irwin district in the person of Mr. Frank Nairn, who passed away at 10.30 o'clock this morning at Claremont House, after a somewhat long illness. The funeral is time to leave the home at 1 o'clock on Wednesday next.[4].
Funeral News[5]
The funeral of the late Mr. Frank Nairn took place here on Wednesday last, and was largely attended. The chief mourners were Messrs. E. Nairn, Harold Nairn, and Alick Nairn (sons), Mr. R. Nairn (brother), Miss C. Nairn, Miss E. Nairn, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Wheeler (sisters), Mrs. Lowe, Mrs. J. Shepherd, and Miss J. Nairn (daughters), Messrs. C. Francisco and A. T. Thurkle (nephews), and Mr. J. Shepherd (brother-in-law), and Mrs. R. Nairn (sister-in-law).
The Rev. E. Gill conducted the services in the Anglican Church and at the grave. The pall-bearers were : — Mr. I. S. Moore, J.P.; Mr. L. W. Clarkson, J.P., Mr. F. Waldeck, and Mr. G. Downes. The funeral arrange-ments were carried out by Messrs. J. Delinage and Co. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved relatives through-out the district, they being very old residents of the district.

Frank was buried in Dongara Cemetery, Dongara, Irwin Shire, Western Australia, Australia with a death date of 1 August 1910.[6]
