Anne was born about November 1844 to Patrick Bray and Bridget Minahan in Limerick Ireland.
The sisters arrived at Sandridge, Port Melbourne on 21 December, 1873, They were responding to a request from Fr James Corbett, Parish Priest as there were insufficient funds to pay teachers and many children needed education. Anne came as a postulant and took her vows on 24 December 1874 she left the order and re-entered in 1879. (This may have been at the time a number of Sisters were excommunicated)
Anne took the religious name Sr Mary Monica.[1]
She died on 25 November 1929 at the convent in Prahan[2][3][4] and is buried in the St Kilda Cemetery[5]
