MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT AND PATRIOT Maynard Everett was born in 1918. He was the son of Arthur Everett Gross. He passed away in 1970. BUCKSPORT -- Maynard Everett Gross, 52, died Oct. 2 at his home.He was born at Bucksport May 2, 1918, the son of Arthur and Dora (Billings) Gross. Gross had been a school bus driver for 13 years and for the past few years had been a custodian at the Walter Gardiner Junior High School. He was an army veteran of World War II. Survivors are his widow,Virginia Pickering Gross of Bucksport; his mother of Bucksport; two sons, Hilliard and Douglas, both of Bucksport; two brothers, Clifford of Bucksport and Philip of Orland; one sister, Mrs. Merle (Dorothy) Bowden of Verona; several nieces and nephews.
