Obituary

Milton - Mrs. Maude Phillips, 84, Foundry Road, died Thursday morning at the Oak Ridge Nursing Home in Richmond, where she had been a resident several months.

She was a native of Morgan County, Tennessee. She was employed by the Woolen Mills Company in Tennessee before moving to the Milton area. She and her husband, John, owned and operated Phillips Shoe Store in Cambridge City for 33 years.

She was a member of the Cambridge City Chapter No. 510, Order of Eastern Star, and of the Cambridge City Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Phillips of Milton and George P. Phillips of Hagerstown; one brother, Buddie Harriman in Tennessee; one sister, Myrtle; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Cambridge City Christian Church, with David Zeigler officiating, and burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.
