Biography
Rickey (Straap) Hemann migrated from Germany to USA.
On 20 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household Caspar H. Herman (age 60, born May 1840 in Hanover) was employed as a Farmer and living in a farmhouse that he owned free of mortgage in Tyler Township, Arkansas with his wife, Rickey Herman (age 53, born Mar 1847 in Wittenburg); daughter Bertha Herman (age 18, born Apr 1882 in Arkansas); and hired hand George Derrick (age 27, born Jan 1873 in AR). Caspar and Rickey were married in 1860. Both of Caspar's parents were born in Hanover. Rickey's father was born in Hanover and her mother in Wittenburg. Rickey had given birth to 8 children, 4 of whom were still alive at that time. [1]
