Biography

Prince Tracy served with the Connecticut Colony during the French and Indian War.

Prince was born in 1710. He is the son of Stephen Tracy and Deborah Bingham.

He "was chosen clerk of the charter proprietors at their first meeting held in Windham, Connecticut, August 21, 1761, and also, at the same time, was chosen one of the three selectmen of the town. He acquired by purchase an extensive landed property in this town and was for some time a resident of the town. He was a very efficient clerk, a sagacious business man, and his penmanship was exceedingly fine. He was one of the charter proprietors."

When Prince Tracy was born on 27 January 1711, in Windham, Connecticut, his father, Stephen, was 36 and his mother, Deborah, was 27. He married Elizabeth Holbrook on May 29, 1766, in Lebanon, Connecticut. They had three children during their marriage. He died in 1793 in Tunbridge, Vermont, having lived a long life of 83 years.
