Elzie G Keeling was born on September 8, 1838 in Tennessee, United States. He lived in Coffee, Tennessee, United States until ~1870, when he moved to Stevenson Township, Marion, Illinois, United States.

Elzie married Margaret E. Rodgers (~1840 - ~1886)^[1].

Their daughter was Margaret May (Keeling) Gilmore (~1874 - ~1953).

Elzie moved sometime before 1900 to Wellsville Township Wellsville City Ward 1-2, Columbiana, Ohio, United States^[2], where he died on June 18, 1909 aged 70^[3].
