Calvin Bain was born in DeKalb County, Tennessee^[1] on the 4th of September, 1894^[1] to Tilman Bain^[2] and Martha Crook^[2].

In 1900 he was living in District 3 in DeKalb County, Tennessee^[3]

In 1910 he was living in Deistrict 3 in DeKalb County, Tennessee^[4]

He would marry Alice Spurlock in 1913 and they would have:
