Biography

William Jackson Revier was born April 2, 1818, in Lancaster county, Virginia, a son of James Rouvière and Nancy Ann Alderson. William was a blacksmith and his family appears later in the 1850 census in Williamsport (formerly "Williams Ferry" to the west of Santa Fe along Snow Creek Road). This household included JANE FIELDS (Louisa Jane) and EDWARD FIELDS (Edward ‘Ned’) daughter and son of JOHN FIELDS and Sarah). WILLIAM REVIERE made his will 24 Jul 1894, Hill County, Texas and he mentions his property in Williamsport, Tennessee. http://www.relativelyconnected.com/fields/fields-john-gallery/bio-john-fields.htm

• Some time after 1825, William and his siblings moved with his parents, James and Nancy, as well as Nancy's parents moved from Richmond county, Virginia to Maury County, Tennessee. Numerous legal documents connect James and Nancy Revier/Revere to John Alderson and his first wife, Rachel and his second wife, Elizabeth Alderson. ^[1]

On April 24, 1837, in Maury county, Tennessee, Jackson married Mary A. Williamson, born January 27, 1818, in Illinois. ^[2] Children of William and Mary include:

William Jackson Revier died September 6, 1898, in Hillsboro, Hill county, Texas and is buried in the Ridge Park Cemetery, there. ^[3]
