STEPHENSON, CAROLYN CHRISTINE, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2005, in Dallas. She was born on February 24, 1913, in Gallatin, Tennessee to James and Caroline Kinkade. She graduated high school in Redford, Michigan and attended two years of college. Christine was a nurse for over 40 years, was an avid reader and a baseball fan, enjoyed crocheting and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christine also loved her dogs, Coco, FiFi and PePe. She was preceded in death by her four brothers and her sister. Survived by her daughter, Myrna Bess Vance; son-in-law, Kenneth Ronald Vance; sister, Marjorie Lee (Hooberry) Sonc of Bloomfield Hills, MI; grandchildren, Kristi Michelle Garrey and husband Robert James Garrey and Stephen Russell Vance and wife Meredith Terese Vance; great-grandchildren, Ryan James Garrey, Jackson Robert Garrey, William Stephen Garrey, and two twin girls on the way; nephews, Thomas Morton Shaw and Gary Allen Shaw both of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Edwin Malone will officiate. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
