Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer (KY) | 31 May 1994 Doris Matthews Hall, 57, of 1931 E. 21st. St., Owensboro, died Monday, May 30, 1994, at her home. She was born in Fordsville, was employed several years at Morrison's Cafeteria and the Dollar General Store in Owensboro, and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her father, R.T. Matthews. Her sister, Louise Greenwell Alvey, died in 1989. Survivors include her husband, Samuel E. Hall; a son, Robert Dwayne Hall of Owensboro; a daughter, Casey Hall Allen of Owensboro; her mother, Essie Marie Newton Matthews of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Samantha Elizabeth Allen of Owensboro; and two nieces, Terry Thompson and Sandy Cornelius, both of Louisville. Services are at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
