Biography

Torborg was born in 1852 at Nedre Aksdal farm on Borgundøy in Fjelberg clerical district in Hordaland, Norway, the daughter of Ingebrigt Tollaksen Øvrebø and Abigael Marie Eriksdatter Aksdal. She grew up at Nedre Aksdal, and at the age of 32 in 1885, she married Jens Mikkelsen Aasbø in Fjelberg. They settled to farm at Kyvig on nearby Stord. They do not appear to have had any children before Torborg died there in 1894 from a heart condition. She was 41 years old.
