Biography

Birth

Loverna Campbell was the daughter of Zenas Campbell and Patty (Andrews) Camplbell.^[1] The 1850 Census shows Lovina Campbell living with her parents and siblings at Adams, Massachusetts, at the age of 9, with her birthplace recorded as Massachusetts.^[2] The 1855 Massachusetts State Census shows her (as Loverna Campbell) living with the family at Adams at 15 with her birthplace shown as New York.^[3] In 1860, she was living (as Loverna Campbell with her brother Zebah, her mother, and two of her sisters at Livermore, Maine, at the age of 19 and her birthplace shown as Massachusetts.^[4] The 1900 Census says she was born in New York in December 1840.^[5]

Marriage

Loverna E. Campbell married Simeon F. Small at Richmond, Maine, on 10 Feb 1863.^[6] The 1900 Census says that they had no children.^[5]

Death

Loverna E. Small died in Alameda County, California, on 27 Jun 1914, with her age at her death recorded as 74.^[7] A FindAGrave memorial with no photo says she is buried at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery in Vacaville, California, in the same plot with her husband.^[8]
