The Pittsburgh Post Gazette Archive mistakenly gives Edmund's name as Elwin Wilson.
Edmund T. Wilson was born in Pennsylvania on 3 July 1836. He served during the U.S. Civil War in Co. K of the 110th Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry and made the rank of Sergeant.[1] Shortly after the war's end, he was married to Priscilla Saylor, daughter of John and Susan (McConnell) Saylor. The couple is found in the 1880 census living in Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania with daughter Hannah age 14, son John age 11, and son Scott age 6. Unfortunately, the census enumerator erred by listing Edmund's first name as Evan; but he is listed correctly as Edmund T. Wilson in his military records. He died on 29 September 1887 and was laid to rest at the Newton Hamilton Memorial Cemetery.[2] At her death in 1913, Priscilla was laid to rest beside him, her gravestone describing her as "Wife of E. T. Wilson".[3]
