Wade Hampton Slaton married three times, and had at least twenty children. This family lived in north Alabama, with ramifications in Morgan, Limestone, Lawrence and Madison counties. Note that most of line adopted (or were clerically assigned) the spelling of Slaten.
The profile creator attended a 2007 family reunion in Hartselle, Alabama, and was shown local newspaper clippings about the softball team formed from Wade's boys and extended family, which held its own against travelling "professional" teams.
Full names for some of the family were provided by numerous attendees.
