Biography

Sven Hilding was born on October 18, 1894, in Adolf Fredrik, Stockholm, Sverige. His parents were August Lindqvist and his wife Karolina Andersdotter.^[1] He grew up there until the age of 20. Then he moved to USA.^[2] There he lived in Duluth, Minnesota, like his older brother Anders Hugo. In his draft registration card for World War I, signed on June 5, 1917, he was single and worked as auto driver.^[3] He had there used the first name Swan, to replace the Swedish "Sven", and changed the spelling of his family name to Lindquist. He became a World War I veteran.^[4]

In 1924 he moved to California. There he married Emilie Herman in Los Angeles on February 28, 1928.^[5] In 1940 he was divorced and lived in Alhambra, Los Angeles, and was a salesman for an auto retail dealer.^[6] He then married Marjorie Lina Sorensen, who was also divorced (maiden name Holden).^[7] He was a research engineer. He passed away in Alhambra, Los Angeles, on February 22, 1947.^[8]
