Biography
Elizabeth Shaw was born May 5, 1701, in Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, the daughter of Jonathan Shaw and Mehitable Pratt. On December 29, 1720, Elizabeth married Lieutenant Samuel Lucas, son of Benoni Lucas and Repentance (Harlow) Lucas.
Elizabeth was the mother of three children, but died at the young age of 26, on June 6, 1727, not long after the birth of her third child, who was named Repentance for her mother. Her husband married secondly, Abigail Shaw.
Elizabeth is buried in the Lakenham cemetery, in Carver, Plymouth county, Massachusetts. There is a photograph of her headstone on her Find A Grave memorial. [1]
