Eugene Van Tine
Eugene Van Tine, for many years an employee of the Port Chester Lumber Company, died this morning at the United Hospital following an illness of two months. He was seventy-seven years old.
Mr. Van Tine was born at Sandy Hook, Conn., in 1852. Previous to his illness, Mr. Van Tine took active part in the affairs of the Foresters of America and the Evans Bible Class of the North Baptist Church, where he was a member.
He is survived by his widow, Olive, eight children, Albert Van Tine of Troy; Mrs. Edith Winkleman, Mrs. Mary Moscow of New York City; Frederick H. Van Tine of Syracuse; Willard, George and Ralph Van Tine, Mrs. Mildred Weeks, all of Port Chester, and 18 grandchildren.
Arrangements have not yet been made for the funeral.

Funeral services for Eugene Van Tine, who died Saturday, were conducted at his home, 47 Sands Street, yesterday. The Rev. Dr. Charles Schwelkart, pastor of the North Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Greenwood Union Cemetery at Rye. Court Peningo No. 402? Foresters of America, conducted a service at the home on Monday night in memory of Mr. Van Tine who had been a member.
Albert, Fred, Willard, George and Ralph Van Tine, sons of the deceased, and Charles Weeks, a son-in-law were pall-bearers.
