Death Notice -- Tuesday, January 15,1929, Springfield Republican: Charlemont, Jan. 14 - Mrs Effie[sic] J Walker, widow of the late Herbert T Walker, a former merchant in this town, died at her home on Main street late Saturday evening. She was born in Ashfield and was the daughter of Daniel and Amelia Sears. She is survived by a brother, Louis W Sears of this town. The funeral will be held at the home tomorrow at 1.45 p.m., Rev. Dorr A Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Leavitt cemetery.
