Samuel Smith was born on 14 Jul 1805, in Edgbaston, Warwickshire. He was the son of Timothy and Elizabeth Smith.
Samuel married Mary Hawkes on 2 Sep 1828 at St Mary's Church in Handsworth, Staffordshire. Their fathers were named in the marriage notice as Timothy Smith and T.L. Hawkes. From the marriage bond, we know that both were aged 21 or more; Samuel was a factor of Edgbaston, Warwickshire and Mary was a spinster of Handsworth.
Their son Samuel Morgan Smith was born on 17 Oct 1834 in Edgbaston.[1]
Their daughter Mary Caroline Smith was christened on 14 Feb 1838. The family's address was recorded as Edgbaston.[2]
Their son Henry Lokin Smith was born in about 1842 in Edgbaston.[3]
Their son William A Smith was born in about 1845 in Edgbaston.
Samuel died on 28 Feb 1871 in King's Norton district, aged 65.
