Hiestand, Jr. (age 2, born Oklahoma), and his widowed, maternal grandmother, May T. Hosie (age 60, born New York). Thomas, Sr. and Agnes had both been age 25, when they married, and hence had been married for ~3 years at the time of the census. Thomas, Sr.'s occupation was a geologist and he worked in the oil industry. Thomas, Sr.'s parents were both from Indiana; Agnes' parents were both from New York.

Hiestand, Sr. (age 38, born Indiana), with his mother, Agnes Hiestand (age 38, born New York), and his twin-brother, Thomas C. Hiestand, Jr. (age 12, born Oklahoma). Both Thomas, Sr. and Agnes had had 4 years of college; Thomas, Jr. and Frank had had 6 years of school. In 1935, the family had lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thomas, Sr.'s occupation was a consulting geologist for the oil industry. Thomas, Sr. owned their house, which was valued at $8,500.
In 1943,[3] Frank Irving Hiestand was living in Casper, Wyoming, as his father, Thomas Cleon Hiestand, Sr., had been promoted and become the Senior Staff Geologist for North American for the Cities Service Oil Company (which eventually became Citgo[4]).

Frank Irving Hiestand graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in General Engineering.

Frank I. Hiestand (age 22, born Oklahoma) was living in Casper, Natrona County, Wyoming in the household of his father, Thomas C. Hiestand, Sr. (age 48, born Indiana), with his mother, Agnes M. Hiestand (age 48, born New York), and his Hiestand siblings, born Oklahoma (age, sex): ii) Mahon (8), iii) Thomas C., Jr. (22); also in the household were: iv) Thomas, Jr's wife, Margaret E. Hiestand (age 23, born Oklahoma), and v) his widowed grandfather, Orris S. Hiestand (age 78, born Indiana). Thomas, Sr.'s occupation was a geologist. Frank's occupation was drilling station attendant. Orris had no occupation listed.
On 1 Sept 1956,[8] Frank Irving Hiestand married Alta Lorene Arman.[9]
Frank Irving Hiestand died on 26 Dec 1986 in Denver, Colorado.[10][11]
Frank I. Hiestand is included in a 1986 catalog of well cuttings and core samples.[15]
Note: there is another Frank I. Hiestand (b. 1911, d. 1979)[16] of a similar age, but he was born and died in Highland County, Ohio and he is not the same person nor directly related to the Frank Irving Hiestand of this WikiTree profile.
