Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Barbara (Smith) Conrad is a part of US Black heritage.

She was an opera singer, mezzo-soprano, as well as an educator and civil rights activist.

The University of Texas offers a scholarship in the name of Conrad, whom they named a distinguished alumna in 1985.

Great-granddaughter of Louis Floyd (1855-) and Liza B (Unknown) Floyd (1856-).
