Luc was born in Riche Bois, Savanne, Mauritius in 1923. His parents were Charles Frederic and Marie Berthe Abraham. He was baptised the same year at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Riviere Des Anguilles, Savanne, Mauritius. His godfather was Andre Lajoie and his godmother Emilie Patin. He had his confirmation in 1934 at St Ursule Catholic Church in Flacq, Mauritius.
On the 5th May 1943 he enlisted in the East African Signals, was discharged the same day and then re-enlisted into Signals Training, Mauritius Regiment. Between 1943 and 1946 he was posted at Diego Suarez in Madagascar as a dispatch rider. He was discharged from the army in July 1946.
Sometime between being discharged from the army in 1946 and the early 1950s he emigrated to the United Kingdom where he met his future wife Betty Joyce Hallett. He married Betty Joyce Hallett on the 15th September 1953 in Stoke Abbott, Dorset, England the witnesses were A.G. Mudford and Frederick George Hallett who was father of Betty Joyce. [1]
After getting married he and Betty Joyce raised 9 children on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, England. On the 2nd May 1988, his wife Betty Joyce passed away from cancer at the age of 53. [2]
In December 2003 he passed away at Medway hospital in Gillingham,Kent, England. [3]
