Hezekiah was born about 1884.

In 1900[1], he was living with his mother and stepfather in Justice Precinct 2, Denton, Texas.

Hezakiah Griffin married Lucy Shears on March 2, 1906 in Denton County, Texas.

By 1910[2], he was still living with his stepfather and mother. However he was also enumerated as a hired hand living with the Varner family in the same location in 1910. He was listed as a a widower on that census.[3]

He passed away in 1913. Burial was in the Old Slave Cemetery (aka St John's Cemetery/ Pilot Point Cemetery), Pilot Point, Denton County, Texas.[4]
