Paul Carl Brethauer was born 29 Aug 1919 in Greeley, Colorado to Carl Brethauer and Kathryn Herbst.

He served in U.S. Army in WWII in Philippines.

Paul married Irene Louise Bernhardt in 1940 in Greeley, Colorado. They farmed south of Kersey for 35 years. Irene passed away in 1989.

He remarried to Gloria nee Vitales Schjeldhal in 1992.

Paul passed away 9 Sep 1992 in Superior, Montana. He is buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, Colorado.
