Biography
William was born in 1732 in Wales. He purchased a one square mile tract of land in 1757 in Rowan County, what is today known as Tanglewood Park in Forsyth County, North Carolina, [1] He passed away in 1765 and is buried on the highest hill overlooking the property that is named Mount Pleasant. [2] [3]
