Biography

Leone May Finch was born in 1908 in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada.^[1] She was the youngest daughter of Alfred Finch and Ida May Young.

In 1911 she was 3 yrs. old, living in Brantford. Leone's father and two oldest brothers worked in a metal foundry.^[2]

Around 1912 her father moved his family to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and started a moving and storage company.^[3]

In 1930 Leone, (22 yrs. old, stenographer), married 25 yr. old John "Jack" Moore Morrow. He was a telephone switchboard wireman in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. John "Jack" was Anglican, and Leone was of United Church faith. She was living on Dunbar St. in Vancouver and Jack was living on Cook St. in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It was a first marriage for both of them.^[4] They have one daughter, 3 grandchildren, and also great grandchildren. ^[5]

Leone was a vibrant, lively woman so it was difficult for her when she had a debilitating stroke near the end of her life.^[6]

She passed away in 1981 in Saint Mary's Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Her usual residence was No. 1 Road, Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.^[7] Leone was buried in the Evergreen section of Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, BC, Canada.^[8]
