Alice was born in 1843[1]. She was the daughter of Thomas Howell and Mary Ann Pizzey. When her birth was registered her name was given as Adela Constance Howell and her place of birth as High Street, Clapham.[1] She was baptised on 13 August 1843 at Holy Trinity Church, Clapham as Alice Campbell Howell.[2] She married Matthew Berkeley Hill on 1 August 1868 at Holy Trinity Church, Clapham.[3] She passed away in 1929 at 11 Campden Hill, Kensington . [4]
