Keziah Ware was born 1 Apr 1809 in Waretown, Gloucester township, Gloucester county, New Jersey to John Ware Jr. and Mary Albertson. Her grand parents were John Ware Sr. and Sarah Mary Marple and her great grandparents were Andrew & Rachel Ware of New Jersey. Keziah migrated from NJ to southwest Ohio around 1820 with other family members. There she met Henry Charles Small. They took out a marriage license on 9 Jan 1826 and were married on 17 Feb 1826 in Lebanon, Warren, Ohio (copy of original License and Marriage Record). They had 6 children: Elwood J., b. 20 Dec 1826 Henry, b. 2 Apr 1835 Robert C., b. abt 1838 Keziah, b. abt 1840 Rebecca, b. abt 1843 Francis Asbury, b. 7 Nov 1846
Her husband died in 1848 so Keziah married (2) Benjamin Redman on 20 Oct 1849. His wife had also just died so they combined families to make one large one. She had two more children with Benjamin. They were: Amanda Maria, b. 8 Aug 1850 John William, b. Jan 1853
Benjamin died in 1862. Keziah continued to live in Pyrmont, Ohio until her death on 3 Apr 1888. Her headstone is still standing in the Pyrmont Cemetery.
