Ellen (Wyatt) Penter was born in Polruan, Cornwall, England.
Early Years
Ellen Rosa was born in 1856 in Polruan. her parents are Thomas Hooper Wyatt (bef.1831-bef.1917) and Sarah (Langmaid) Wyatt (abt.1831-1898). Ellen's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1856 in the Liskeard district.[1]
In the 1861 census Ellen was at 24, Hope Street, Portsea, Portsea Island, Hampshire, England. with her mother.[2]

On the 3rd of February 1874 Ellen married Nathaniel Penter (1852-1914) at Stoke Damerel in Devon. [4] They were both residing in Stoke Demeral at the time.
On the 3rd April 1881 they appeared with their growing family in the census living in Fore Street, Polruan. [5]

Death
Ellen passed away shortly before the 27th October 1892 at Polruan. She was buried on the 27th at Lanteglos by Fowey Parish Church. [7]

Death, extracted from the Royal Cornwall Gazette "Penter - at harbour view, Polruan. October 28th Ellen Rosa, beloved wife of Nathaniel Penter aged 36." (Printed on the 27th October 1892, the day of the funeral so the date is incorrect.)
