Biography
Willie was born in 1908. He passed away in 1973.
Mr. Bowen was born June 12, 1908 in Zion, a son of John Franklin Bowen and Mrs. Florence Amanda Bowen. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hanahan and was a retired mechanic of the US Army Depot.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie Drew Bowen of North Charleston; five sons, James A. Bowen and Jerry L. Bowen, both of Charleston, John F. Bowen of Estill, Thomas A. Bowen of Mount Pleasant, and Albert W. Bowen of the US Air Force in Okinawa; one step-son, Hartford Drew of Whitmire.
