Sadly he passed away in 1855 at the age of 30, probably unmarried[2].

DEATHS.
BROWNING.— On the 9th inst., aged thirty, James Browning, Esq., of Little Windmill-street, the youngest son of Richard Browning, Esq., late of Commercial-road, Lambeth.[3]

He was buried on 12 October 1855 at Highgate Cemetery (Camden), London[4].
