Biography

According to her gravestone inscription, Mary Snyder was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Snyder and the wife of Chas. A. Spiese. She was born 8 January 1809 and died on 9 January 1849, one day after her 40th birthday. She is buried close to her parents and her sister Magdalene Snyder in the Shenkel Reformed Church Cemetery, North Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.^[1]

In his will, written on 3 January 1857, her father provided legacies for the children of his daughter Mary and son Nathan, thus indicating that these two children were deceased but had living issue.^[2]
