Richard Seymour Ogden was born in 1855, son of Joshua Ogden (1819 - 1909) and Elizabeth (Steeves) Ogden (1817 - >1891).

His siblings were:

  3. Amasa W. Ogden (1857 - 1890)
  4. Elizabeth Annie (Ogden) Lutes (1866 - 1944)

Richard married Elizabeth Jonah (born about 1846; died on 10 Jul 1887) on 15 Jul 1879 in New Brunswick, Canada.

Richard died on 26 Mar 1913 in Albert, New Brunswick, Canada aged ~57. He is buried in Dawson Settlement United Baptist Church Cemetery, Dawson Settlement, New Brunswick.
