Marriage of Martha Wade and Thomas Burgess in Adelaide ^[1] says Groom was 22 and Bride 18 so it is possibly the correct one.

If she was Martha Wade then ^[2] has the digital image of a Baptism on 15 June 1834 for Martha Wade (Born February 5, 1834), daughter of William and Martha Wade living at Silsdon Moor. William was a Tanner. The Baptism took place at Kildwick, Yorkshire (West Riding)

^[3]says the headstone is in Kaitawa in a closed cemetery behind the schoolmaster's residence. Headstone 1 reads "In loving memory of Thomas George Burgess died 25th April 1887 aged 60 years; also Martha beloved wife of above, died at Pahiatua 31st May 1916 aged 84 years." Headstone 2 reads "In loving memory of George Thomas Burgess who departed this life 10 October 1923 aged 69 years"

Her Will and Probate ^[4] make list of several relationships and Chattels. It confirms that son George Thomas Burgess married Charlotte Helen and left daughter Louisa Maria Ross Section number 30 in Kaitawa Township subject to mortgage from Sarah Goss. Her sheep she left to Alexander Ross subject to his paying daughter Martha Dew and Emma Hingston. As her daughter had died before her death, all of Louisa Maria's portion reverted to Alexander Ross.

Digital Printout of Death Registration says she died at Victoria Street, Pahiatua on 31 May 1916 aged 84 years. She had Influenza for 4 days and cardial degeneration for 2 years with Syncope for 1/2 hour. Her parents are recorded as "Not Known" She is listed as born in England and had been in New Zealand for approximately 60 years, She married Thomas George Burgess in Australia at about 19 years of age. Her living sons were aged 62 and 52 years while her living daughters were 60 and 55 years
