Carolyn was born on January 17, 1945 at Huntsville in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the infant daughter of Emit Bowling and Retha Sexton. She passed away from strangulation on January 22, 1943 at Huntsville.

( All dates are taken from her death certificate, her headstone says she was born on January 17, 1943 and passed away on January 22, 1943, her death certificate says she was born on January 17, 1945 and died on January 20, 1945, according to the death certificate January 22 was the date of burial ).
