Biography

A family Bible gives Kenderson's birthdate as 23 June 1848.^[1]

In 1850 he was 2 and living with his parents, John and Malinda, and siblings in Maryland. ^[2]

In 1860 he was apparently put on census as 12 year old "catherine" and "female" but there was no Catherine in this family per the bible transcription above. ^[3]

He married Elizabeth S Young in 1870.

In 1880 they were living in Maryland with 6 children and cousin Hiram J Castle. ^[4]

In 1900 they had been married 30 years. They had had a total of 14 births with 12 children living as of this time. They, and 10 of their children, were living in Maryland. ^[5]

In 1910 they were living in Maryland with 3 children. ^[6]

His wife died in 1915.

In 1920 he was a 71 year old widower living in Maryland with 4 adult children. ^[7]

He passed in 1929. Date etched on headstone.

Kenderson was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown, Frederick County, Maryland. ^[8]
