Alice was born in 1942. She was the daughter of George Hann and Marian Martz. She passed away in 2013.
Alice Joan Houck, 70, of Robertsdale, PA, Went To Be With The Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Homewood at Martinsburg.
Joan was born in Everett, PA on December 18, 1942, a daughter of the late Marian A. (Martz) and George S. Hann Sr.
On September 12, 1959 she was united in marriage to Larry D. Houck in Saltillo by the Rev. Richard Meyers. Mr. Houck preceded her in death on June 4, 2011. Mrs. Houck was primarily a homemaker but also was a mail carrier in the Robertsdale and Waterfall Areas. She attended the Immanuel Bible Church Three Springs, PA .
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren along with caring for her pets. She was a founder and volunteer for Pets In Need and was a 1960 Graduate of Forbes Road High School.
Joan is survived by three daughters, Melinda Stevens, of Three Springs, PA; Michele Senft, of Saltillo, PA; and Lori Rupert, of Altoona, PA; Joan is also survived by a brother, George S. Hann Jr., of Fort Littleton, PA.
She is also survived by Grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikaela, and Garrett Stevens, Ryan Senft, Megan Werner, Aaron, Zachary, and Seth Rupert, and a great grandson, Sawyer Werner.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday April 28, 2013 from 3-5 PM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Broad Top City, PA.
Funeral Services will be held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, PA, at 11 AM on Monday, April 29th, 2013 with Pastor Steve Heaster officiating. Interment at Bethel Cemetery New Grenada, PA.
