On July 14, 2020, God called Robert C. Warnock, Jr. home to his heavenly Father. Bob was born in Saranac Lake on December 17, 1939 to Robert C. Warnock, Sr. and Virginia F. Warnock, the first of 9 children. Raised in Tahawus, NY, he served his country in the US Army Military Police Corps from November 1958 to February 1962. He married his high school sweetheart Marilyn M. (LaForest) in September 1962. He worked for General Motors Company (Massena), Corning Glass Works (Canton) which he retired from in 1988. Bob ventured into wine making and ran Pleasant Valley Winery where his wines won several local awards. Bob and Marilyn were blessed with four children, twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; Vanessa Faulkner with children Billie Jo and Dustin (Kelli and their children Addilyn, Bentley, Kinsley, and Emersyn). Laura McCormick (deceased) with children Danny "DJ", Brandon (Bridget), and Cassondra. Robert with wife Melissa and children Ericka (daughter Joselyn), Robert (with wife Brittany* and sons Owen and Noah), and Courtney (with husband Artie and daughter Giada). Debora with husband Mark and children Meghan, Becca, Emily, and Mitchell. He was also blessed to be a big brother to Dick (deceased), Ginny, Lee (deceased), Cathy, Donna (deceased), Tim, Andy and Ruthie. His love of camping, fishing, traveling & spending money led to many a great stories told! He loved his country & loved spending time with his family and was very "helpful" whenever anyone started a campfire in his presence:) Bob will be sorely missed for the sparkle in his eyes, for his quick wit and never knowing what's coming after when he started a sentence with "Ya know....". Calling hours will be on Friday, July 17 from 3-5 at Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus. Social Distancing and face mask are required. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus, NY, with the Rite of Burial and Military Honors to be at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
