Biography

Della was born in 1868. She was the daughter of Alexander Cornman and Elizabeth Norris.

IN the 1870 Census, she, age 2, is living in Decatur, Macon, Illinois, United States, with her parents, Alexander and Elizabeth Conman, and an older sister Lula, age 9.^[1]

The 1880 Census shows her, age 12, living with her parents, Alex and Elizabeth Cornman, four siblings, and a cousin, Catherine Miller, 19.^[2]

On 14 May 1894, she married Miles Murphy in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. She was about 26 years old at the time of her marriage.^[3]

in the 1910 Census, she is living St Louis Ward 23, St Louis (Independent City), Missouri, United States in the household of her mother Elizabeth, now widowed, with her husband Myles Murphy, her sister Leotta Cornman, and six boarders.^[4]

The 1920 Census places her in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States, living with her husband Miles F Murphy; no children are present.^[5]

She passed away on 05 Apr 1933, in S. Macon, Macon, Illinois.^[6]

Her grave marker on her Find a Grave memorial shows her dates as 6 Sep 1868 to 5 Apr 1933.^[7]

No reference suggests she had any children.
