Elizabeth Carr was born in 1860 in Ironbark Gully, via Bendigo, Victoria (Australia). She was the second daughter of Rosanna Devlin and Robert Carr. [1] Bendigo was a fast-growing pioneer centre, being pushed by the discovery of gold in 1851. Bendigo was connected to Melbourne by train in 1862 and was declared a city as early as 1871. It was also known as Sandhurst.
Elizabeth, daughter of Rosanna Devlin and Robert Carr, married William Neill, son of Mary Stevenson and Ebenezer Neill, in 1880 in Bendigo. [2][3] Their children may have included

Lesley Neill (1895-1973).
She passed away, aged 88 years, in 1948 in Bendigo. [4]
On the 30th November, at the residence of the bride, by the Rev James Groundwater, W. B. H. Neill, only son of the late Ebenezer Neill, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Robert Carr, Boundary-street, both of Sandhurst.
