Biography

Hubert was born on 6 March 1882 (see 1939 register) and his birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1882 in the Kings Norton district.^[1] He was the son of Charles Hughes and Maria Tyson.

In the 1891 census Hubert (age 9) was the son of Charles Hughes in Balsall Heath, Kings Norton, Worcestershire, England.^[2]

In the 1911 census Hubert (age 27) was a private in the Infantry 1st Northumberland Fusileers stationed at Westridge, Rawalpindi, India.^[3]

Hubert's marriage to Florence Laura Wareham was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1918 in the Cardiff district.^[4]

In the 1939 register Hubert, Ship & House Painter, was the married head of household at 38. St Mary's Place, Southampton, Hampshire, England.^[5]

Hubert, of 36 St Mary's Place, Southampton died on 14 March 1944 in and his estate passed probate on 10 July 1944 in Winchester, Chester, England. His effects went to his widow Florence Laura Hughes.^[6]
