Professionally known as Rae Allen, she was an American actress of stage, film, and television, director, and singer, and also opened her own drama schools and was an acting coach; her career spanned some seventy years and eight decades.
Her first acting job was at age 15. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1947.
Rae was nominated for Best Featured Actress in the original Broadway production of Damn Yankees in 1955 and Travellers Without Luggage in 1967. In 1971, she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play in And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little.[1]
She also appeared in the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in 1968.

Born Raffaella Julia Theresa Abruzzo in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Julia Abruzzo (née Riccio). She married and divorced twice: 1) John M. Allen; 2) Herbert Harris.
She passed away from old age at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Home in Los Angeles.
