Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Tyler AME Church, where he was a lifetime steward, with burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in New Park Cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Goodrich was principal of Ford Road for 22 years. After his retirement with 37 years service with the city and county schools, he was a supervisor at State Technical Institute of Memphis. He was a graduate of LeMoyne-Owen College, where he was a member of Omega Psi Phi. He received a master's from Memphis State University. He was past president of Tennessee Education Congress, and a member of the city, state and national education associations. He served as superintendent of Sunday School for 25 years at New Tyler AME Church. He leaves three brothers, Harold Goodrich and Donald Goodrich, both of Memphis, and Dr. Andrew Goodrich of Chicago.
