Biography

1st wife of Isaac Whitehead Geurin was Martha Jane Unknown. ^[1]They were married circa 1807 in Rockingham Co North Carolina. They had 10 children between 1808 and 1831. Those children are in birth order:

During or shortly after the birth of this child may have been when Isaac's 1st wife Martha Jane unknown died. Persons who are living in a household as of 1 June 1830 are who are suppose to be listed on the census. This child is most likely NOT a child by Isaac's 2nd wife Jinsey as she would have had to have been pregnant prior to their marriage in March 1830.

1820 census taken at Rockingham Co NC ^[3] lists the following persons: 1. 2 white males 10 - 14 years are most likely sons Levi and Jacob Geurin 2. 1 white male 26-44 year is most like to be Isaac Geurin 3. 4 white females under age 10 are most likely daughters - Abigail, Martha, Susan, and Jane. 4. 1 white female age 26-44 is most likely to be 1st wife Martha Jane Unknown.

Martha died prior to 17 March 1830 which is when husband Isaac married his 2nd wife Jinsey Jacobs Richardson Geurin.
