FAG Notes: Livestock Dealer, 81 dies after having Stroke

Walter N. Hazel of 43333 Highway 61 South died at 9:35 last night at Methodist Hospital. He had a stroke January 11. He was 81.

Mr. Hazel was born near Springfield, MO., and came to Memphis in 1922. For most of his life he was a dealer in livestock. He was a member of Stephenson Chapel Methodist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lora D. Hazel; two sons, Walter N. Hazel, Jr., of 4323 McCain and Captain Warren N. Hazel with the Air Force in France; a step daughter, Mrs. Pat Halloran of Flint, Mich,; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memphis Funeral Home has charge.
