Nickolai was born on October 9, 1919.^[1][2] Nickolai was the son of John Sigurd Langfeldt and Charlotte Petersen.^[3][4][2]

Nicholas attended Bound Brook High School in New Jersey.^[5]

Nicholas volunteered at the world headquarters of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society at Brooklyn, New York.^[6][1]

On May 30, 1946, Nicholas married Ruth Mockridge.^[7]

Nicholas died in April of 1989.^[8]
