On July 4, 1927, Ivan married Mildred Treadway in Jamestown, New York.^{[7][8][9][10][11]}

Ivan volunteered at the world headquarters of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society at Brooklyn, New York.^[12]

Ivan died on March 15, 1969 in Norwich, New York.^[13]
