He was working as a farm labourer for Mr Norman when he drowned at a waterhole. He was 23 years old. He dived in but soon had difficulties - his friend recovered him with a rope but it was too late[5]
TREBILCOCK.-On the 7th January, accidentally drowned near Moonta Mines, William James, the dearly beloved husband of Susan Martha Trebilcock, aged 22 years and 5 months.
