Doris (Chitwood) Wilson was a Tennessean.

Doris was born May 4,1939 at Winfield in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Charles Chitwood and Stella Maxey. She married James Ned Wilson on November 22, 1958 in Scott County. She passed away on March 24, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.

Doris Jean Wilson, 80 of Winfield, lost her courageous battle and gained her angel wings Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her daughter's home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born on May 4, 1939 in Winfield, Tennessee to the late Stella May (Maxey) and Charles Robert Chitwood.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed planting flowers around her home. She retired from Diamond Chain in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband James Ned Wilson; her siblings: Cecil Chitwood, Marshall Chitwood, Shirley Pergram, Frances Newport, Paul Anderson, Eugene Anderson, and Homer Anderson. Survivors include her children: Keith Wayne Wilson, James David Wilson, Rhonda Sue Wilson, Sheila Ann Walters, Matthew Wilson, and Mark Wilson; her sister Hellen Allen; her brother Robert Chitwood; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
